Terms of Service for FilterFlow

Effective Date: February 25, 2026

Welcome to FilterFlow! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the FilterFlow Chrome Extension (“the Software”). By installing or using FilterFlow, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Software.

1. CRITICAL NOTICE: Data Backup Required

FilterFlow modifies, reorganizes, and can delete your Gmail filters. While we have implemented features like “dry-run previews” to prevent mistakes, unexpected errors can occur.

You are strictly responsible for backing up your existing Gmail filters before installing or using FilterFlow. We highly recommend exporting your current filters via Gmail’s native settings to an .xml file before making any changes. We are not responsible for accidentally deleted filters, misrouted emails, or lost data.

2. Description of Service

FilterFlow is a free browser extension designed to help users manage, organize, and consolidate their Gmail filters via a side-panel interface. The Software is provided as a utility to enhance your existing Gmail experience.

3. “As Is” and Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Software will meet your requirements, that it will be error-free, bug-free, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the Software entirely at your own risk.

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer of FilterFlow be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of data, loss of emails, business interruption, or loss of profits) arising in any way out of the use of, or inability to use, this Software.

This limitation applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damage.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use FilterFlow only for its intended purpose. You may not:

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the FilterFlow extension (excluding third-party libraries and the underlying Gmail platform) are and will remain the exclusive property of the developer. The Software is licensed to you, not sold, for personal or internal business use.

7. Changes to the Software and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Software (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after any such changes constitutes your consent to such changes.

8. Third-Party Services

FilterFlow interacts directly with Google LLC’s Gmail service. FilterFlow is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Your use of Gmail remains subject to Google’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
